Cape Cod National Seashore, Massachusetts
There aren’t many beaches that can offer an experience much like the Cape Cod National Seashore. Every year from around April to November, 100 vehicles are allowed on the beach every night.
Why vehicles? Well, because it is the only way to grab a spot on this majestic beach. You can camp in your vehicle all night, or set up camp if that is what you want to do. There are plenty of activities that you can do on the beach such as hiking, biking and swimming.
Hikes can get pretty exciting as you wander through the marshes, swamps, and woods. You can also decide to go fishing if you want, and get lucky with a nice catch. Do remember that you’ll need a fishing license first.
Na Pali Coast, Hawaii
A place where beauty and magnificence amalgamate, the Na Pali Coast in Hawaii is an extraordinary beach camping location. You can set camp at Kalalau or Hanakoa depending on how you plan your trip.
There is a long 11-mile hiking trail at Kalalau, which is a major tourist attraction at the Na Pali Coast. You get to enjoy the lush green woods, the super sandy beach, and some waterfalls along the course of your hike.
If you’re an experienced swimmer, you can definitely take the kayaking route and explore the beach. Kayaking is recommended for strong swimmers only because the sea can get rough and people who are less-acquainted with the art might end up panicking.
Cape Lookout National Seashore, North Carolina
If you’re looking for a primitive and natural camping experience at the beach then Cape Lookout National Seashore in North Carolina is an ideal place to be. There are no developments nearby and hardly any roads either. You can arrive by ferry or 4WD car (non-4WD cars can get stuck in the sand).
The shoreline stretches a whopping 112 miles and allows for lots of exploration. You can camp by the beach away from the stress and noise of large cities. Light a campfire, catch some fish and cook them right away on your fire.
Fishing and Kayaking are very popular here. You can go fishing right at the shore, or Kayak your way to deeper waters to have a better catch. Kayaking in itself can be very rewarding too as you get to be alone in the ocean and enjoy seeing the wildlife go by.
