Nearly 5 million people visited Ireland just the first half of 2018 for a major increase in Irish tourism. This increase is due in part to the expansion of services specifically within their trans Atlantic network both in the United States and in Canada. Before planning that flight however, it would be wise to visit Trivago for great deals on hotels.
Aer Lingus which means “air fleet” is the second largest airline in Ireland and was once owned and operated by the Irish government. In 2005 Aer Lingus became privatized and in 2016 the International Airlines Group (IAG) and parent company to British Airways and Spain’s Iberia bought Aer Lingus. Aer Lingus was originally founded in 1936 and has been one of the longest operating carriers. They also offer plenty of airport parking.
Aer Lingus has 54 planes in their fleet with over 93 destinations Including Internationally. Its’ planes bare a three-leaf clover with a predominately green in color plane that reflects Ireland well. Their flight attendants sport a solid green uniform to follow with the tradition of the Irish.
Forbes Magazine dubbed Aer Lingus the “most improved airline” for 2018. This is mostly because of their known “warm and friendly” service their company’s personnel provides.
Aer Lingus most recently added Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s airport to their direct flight service with the anticipation of adding Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota to their service in 2019. They have also increased their service in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago.
To increase their “Irish hospitality”, Aer Lingus offers lounges in their Dublin, Ireland, London-Heathrow, England and New York City-JFK, United States airports. These lounge areas are exclusive to Aer Lingus passengers and they provide complimentary snacks and refreshments, WI-FI, newspaper and magazines, entertainment facilities and tranquil lounge areas. Each lounge is decorated in the traditional “warmth of Ireland” décor. You may upgrade to a “lounge pass” for an extensive food service.
Aer Lingus also offers a “vacation store” which bundles affordable packages specifically to attract the international tourist. Packages begin as low as $699 per person. Just to list a few, Aer Lingus offers a “Ireland Villa Vacation” in Western Ireland which includes round trip air-fare plus taxes from New York-JFK, a 6 Night stay, a full size car rental and a villa for $699.00 per person based on a 4 person package. You may try the “Southwest Ireland” scenic Ireland package which includes round trip air-fare from Boston-Logan, a 5, 7, or 9 Night stay including hotel and a car rental from $699.00 per person based on a 2 person package. Try “Ireland’s Bed & Breakfast” a drive through Ireland package which includes round trip air-fare and taxes from New York-Newark, a 6, 7, 8, or 9 Night stay including car rental, daily breakfast and Bed & Breakfast’s from $928 per person based on a 2 person package. We would be remiss not to mention the “Castle Hotels of Ireland” vacation package which includes round trip air-fare and taxes from New York-Newark, a 6 Night stay including car rental from $990 per person based on a 2 person package.
Get ready to cross Ireland off of your bucket-list.
